Hi, my name is Malte Ostendorff.
I am a researcher in the field of information science and natural language processing. I have a strong interest in open data and civic tech, and am currently employed at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) where I work on the OpenGPT-X project, which focuses on developing large AI language models. In addition to this, I am also a Ph.D. student in the Scientific Information Analytics group at the University of Göttingen, where my research focus is on information retrieval, document similarity, and recommender systems.
Furthermore, I am the co-founder of Open Justice e.V., an association that aims to improve access to justice for the general public by advocating for more transparency in the legal system through projects such as Open Legal Data, which publishes legal documents, such as court decisions, as open data.
